Model Context Protocol (MCP)
Connect compatible AI clients to Routine through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Once connected, your AI assistant can work with the Routine data and actions available to your account, including tasks, calendar events, pages, contacts, workspaces, and databases. For example, you can ask your assistant to:Review your day: “What are my Routine tasks and meetings today?”, Capture and plan work: “Create a task to review the Q3 report on Friday.”, Manage your calendar: “Schedule a 45-minute focus session tomorrow afternoon.”, Find information: “Find my Routine notes about the Acme project.”, Work with structured data: “Show the open items in my project database.”Routine MCP uses a local, authenticated connection provided by Routine Desktop. The endpoint is available only to clients running on the same computer, and Routine Desktop must remain open and signed in while you use it.
