Hosting a Bird Watching Meetup

## Pre-event:

### Location Scouting:
- View the terrain map & landscape
- Identify if any permits are required

### Gear Preparation:
- Comfortable weather appropriate clothing
- Binoculars are clean and working
- Camera has a memory card and batteries are charged
- App for identifying birds is downloaded
- First-aid kit for emergencies.
- Light snacks and clean water bottles.
- Sunscreen or raincoat if applicable.
- Notebook and pencil/pen for sketching or drawing. 

## During the event:

### Arrival at the Location:
- Reach early to find parking.
- Mark returning spot on the map. 

### Observation:
- Stay on designated paths. 
- Don’t make a lot of noise. 
- Avoid abrupt movements.

### Post-event:
- Collect all your belongings. 
- Check for damage to gear. 
- Dispose waste appropriately.
- Send a thank you note to the organiser.
